RayGen’s Solar Hydro solution addresses the growing need for long-duration energy storage by combining concentrated solar power with water-based thermal storage. This hybrid system captures both electricity and heat, enabling dispatchable, synchronous energy for over 12 hours — helping match renewable generation to demand.

The Winterton project has received Strategic Integrated Project (SIP) status under South Africa’s Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission. This designation, reserved for projects of national significance, provides expedited permitting, streamlined regulatory approvals, and enhanced collaboration with public and private stakeholders.
For investors, SIP status signals strong government backing and reduces development risk. For energy consumers interested in electricity wheeling agreements, it reinforces the project’s credibility and accelerates its path to delivering reliable, affordable renewable energy.
This project will bring significant benefits to the region, supporting both local communities and the environment.
Ongoing community consultation will ensure that local stakeholders are kept informed and involved throughout the project’s development.
